I’m having trouble finding the article “8 is a Snake”. Sounds like it might be worth a read. All of this gm/ge stuff is mind boggling! Very hard to feed your family healthy foods on a tight budget. Thanks.

Avoiding MSG might be a good idea also. Thanks for all the info.

Hi Doug,
Go organic, and avoid soy as well as artificial sweeteners. Organic is not genetically modified, by definition. I’ve found a great milk replacement to be “rice milk” – organic rice milk. Sounds terrible but it’s actually very good. Doesn’t taste like rice. The type I’ve been using comes in a blue box, among the soy beverages (which you are to avoid). Rice milk is not in the refrigerated section; however you do refrigerate it once you open it.
I came across a soy free, dairy free, organic ice cream over the weekend. It was made using organic coconut milk. I was so thrilled I started yelping for joy right there in the grocery store.
Lots of alternatives out there; it becomes rather fun once you become used to shopping it. Pull up the article “8 is a Snake” – it tells you how to tell the difference in produce, how to read those little stickies that are placed all over your fruits and vegetables. Those labels tell you if the produce is Organic, not Organic (traditionally grown, with pesticides, etc.) or GMO (Genetically Modified).
